Norman H. Chait, CFA founded Nardis Advisors in the US in January 2010. Upon moving back to Israel, he received his Israel portfolio manager license in January 2017.

Do you understand U.S. tax laws affecting US immigrants to Israel?

Yes. While we are not CPAs, and while we do not provide tax advice, we are aware of the key tax issues for Americans who leave the US for other countries. We also understand the key provisions of the US-Israel tax treaty, especially to help people avoid double taxation. We also understand key US tax laws that impact Americans that invest in foreign accounts such as the PFIC [Passive Financial Investment Corp] tax.

It is important for us to identify the key issues pertaining to each client’s cross-border tax situation and refer to and work closely with qualified tax professionals.

We have developed close relationships with both Israeli CPAs (i.e. who prepare Israeli tax returns), as well as US CPAs based both in Israel and elsewhere who prepare US tax returns. Should you need a new CPA, we can match you with somebody based on your location, your personal circumstance, and the complexity of your tax return.
