Meet Norman

Norman Chait is the Managing Principal of Nardis Advisors, an independent Registered Investment Advisor based in Scarsdale, NY, focused on building customized investment portfolios for a select group of individuals, families and small businesses.

He has 28 years of experience in all aspects of the traditional and alternative investment universe. He also acts as an expert witness in arbitrations involving money management issues.

Prior to founding Nardis in 2009, Norman was Director of Hedge Fund Manager Origination at Merrill Lynch, servicing both institutional and high net worth clients.
Previously, Norman was CEO of Rutherford Asset Management, where he advised on alternative investments to the interests of Lord Jacob Rothschild and family. Before this, he was Vice President, Hedge Fund Research at AIG Global Investment, where he managed a $2 billion portfolio of external hedge funds.

Norman received an MBA from Columbia University in 1995 (beta gamma sigma), and a Law Degree from Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1988.

He served in the Judge Advocate General Division of the Israel Defense Force from1988-1993 and is a graduate of the Israel Defense Force Officer’s School.

Norman is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Member of the New York Society of Security Analysts. He is also a licensed Portfolio Manager in Israel under the auspices of the Israel Securities Authority.

Norman divides his time between New York and Zichron Ya’akov, Israel.

Meet Mike

Mike Reed has spent the last 22 years in the investment management and financial planning industry. He started out as an equity analyst for large institutional clients and has spent the last 12 years focused on helping people near or in retirement at firms such as Personal Capital and Fisher Investments. In this capacity he assisted clients with all aspects of financial planning including cashflows, estate and tax planning along with Medicare and Social Security. 

Born and raised in the Detroit area, Mike graduated from the University of Michigan in 2000 and holds the CRPC (Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor) Designation, and currently resides in the Dallas area where he continues to struggle with his golf game and attend as many blues concerts as possible.

Gail Wiesenfeld joined Nardis Advisors in January 2013. Previously, she was a Vice President in Equity Research for 15 years at sell-side firms including Merrill Lynch, Bear Stearns and CJ Lawrence. This encompassed extensive financial analysis of public companies, making stock recommendations, and marketing to both institutional and retail investors. She subsequently took a hiatus to raise children, during which time she ran a women’s investment group.

Gail is a resident of Scarsdale NY. She has a BA from Emory University (1979) and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business (1985). She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.

Noa Chait joined Nardis in 2022. She is responsible for Nardis’ internal compliance and social media efforts.

Born in New York, Noa is a dual US-Israeli citizen and served in the Israel Defense Force.  She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the New School of New York, with a focus on jazz vocals, graduating with honours, and is the recipient of the John and Alice Coltrane Award for Excellence.
